Memory Lane 6

Even closer to home: the schools, churches, schools, hospitals and the Vernon Daily Record. Daddy eventually owned most of the stock in the daily newspaper making him owner and publisher.  The First Baptist Church is where I was saved and baptized. We spent many days worshiping in this church and it was also where Derek and I were married.

Paula was born in The Vernon Clinic which was also the place where Mother and Daddy met.  Mother was a nurse, and Daddy came to visit a friend after hours. Mother tried to stop him, but he barged right past her. They soon had eyes for one another.
