After over 30 years of research, I feel that most of my information has been validated. Starting out, I had to pound the pavement, visit courthouses and cemeteries, and write letters, so I was definitely sure of the information that I was recording. It gave me a firm foundation of the discoveries that it would bring. Over time, the internet has been a blessing. As I look back, I have not found a branch of my tree that was not firmly planted on American soil. My heritage comes from a stock that carved out this great land, and I am filled with pride and patriotism. I am grateful and thankful for their sacrifices.
