Henry Quillin son of Teague and Mary Sanders married Elizabeth Wright.

        Their daughter, Nancy, was born on 27 July 1853

        Their daughter, Nancy Frances Quillin, was born on 28 Nov 1853

Consent Forms for Jean Collyer

After the death of his second wife, Mary Sanders, in 1826, Teague age 56 married for a third time. Jean Collyer was about 22 years old and there were consent papers drawn up and signed by Teague, Jean and her father, Richard Collyer. Teague was about 35 years older than Jean.

The proof was found by Jenny Kidd as she pounded the pavement, went to the courthouse and found the documents below.

I Jean Collyer do hereby testify that I am of lawful age and willing to join in marriage with Teague Quillin and the clerk of the Floyd County Court will issue ?? decision?? To that effect given under my hand March 7, 1828

Know all by these present that we Teague Quillin and Richard Collyer are held and firmly bound unto the commonwealth of Kentucky in the ? sum of 50 for the two payment where of we bind ourselves our lives and firmly by these present sealed with our seal and date this 10^th day of March 1828.

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Teague Quillin and Jean Collyer of the county.  If therefore there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.

Teague Quillin V Marries His 3rd Wife Jane Collyer

I found a website that stirred my interest because it had a third wife for Teague. I began to research and I believe it is true. Many family trees have his last two children as Mary Sanders' children, but I found a distant cousin, Jenny Kidd, who is a descendant through his 3rd wife. Jenny has actually gone to the area and the courthouse and documented this marriage. 

I would like to thank the Potter Family for their diligent research, as I would never have known this. At the bottom of the second screenshot, a name was cut off. in the 1850 Scott Co VA Census there was a James Palmore age 14 listed with John and Rebecca Quillen.

They moved with her older brother, my Teague V, to Kentucky. 

Here's a bit of information about them.

This focuses a bit on their connection to the McKenzie family. 

Their son George Washington Webb married Elizabeth McKenzie. 

Their daughter Martha "Patsy" Webb married Hugh McKenzie.

shows the connection of Hugh McKenzie who married Martha Webb, daughter of John and Nancy
Martha may have been called “Pattie”
Martha was born in 1821.The first daughter of John Webb, Jr. and his wife, Nancy Quillen Webb. She had two brothers and two sisters. George, born in 1812, married Elizabeth McKenzie. Jenette, born in 1823, married Enoch Pratt. Sarah, born in 1827, married John Cantrell and Johnathan, born in 1829, married Mary Rhoton. They all married in Virginia.

In 1844, these families migrated to Johnson Co., Ky. and settled in the Flat Gap area. Martha and her husband, Hugh McKenzie, reared their 11 children on the McKenzie Homestead.
According to the Webb family history, her ancestors were Quakers who came from England and were active in the military. Daniel Boone was a distant relative.
 
Hugh’s brother, Oliver, .OLIVER B.3 MCKENZIE (JOHN2, HUGH1) was born March 17, 1813 in Scott Co., Va., and died May 17, 1878 in Johnson Co., Ky..He married MATILDA STRONG, daughter of JOHN STRONG and HANNAH QUILLEN.She was born 1821 in Scott County, Va., and died in Johnson Co, Ky..

Have put together a book on these Webbs called "Untangling the Webbs of Floyd and Johnson Co Ky"
Capt John and Mary Webb also had a son William Webb Sr. The brother to John Jr.
I descend from William Webb Jr son of William Webb Sr. His daughter Dorcas Elizabeth Webb that md Charles BOWLING my grgrparents.
 
William Webb Sr left Scott Co Va earlier than his brother John Jr He settled Floyd Co Ky. Johnson Co was formed out of Floyd Co Ky. A lot of the Webbs were in the area that was Johnson Co Ky. John Jrs family settled later into Johnson Co Ky. My bk covers mainly these two brothers and their descendants
