The Vineyard Cemetery is located north of Gate City. Take Red Hill Road (Virginia State Route 666) north out of Gate City. Cemetery will be on the left a little past the intersection of Red Bluff Road.

This cemetery is located on Moccasin Ridge, about 1.75 miles northwest of Gate City and is the burial place of George Vineyard and wife Mary (Campbell) who were married in Rockbridge County in 1790; their eldest son George Washington Vineyard and wife Hannah (Hart) who were married in 1827, and their eldest son John A, Vineyard and wife Elizabeth (France) who were married in 1853. All three generations lived on the Vineyard homestead at this location, from about 1835. Take Highway 666 north out of Gate City. 2/10 mile past the intersection of Red Bluff Road is a cemetery on the left, next to the road. Further back, beyond this cemetery is the Vineyard Cemetery, in a stand of trees.
