A Pleasant Hulsey was in 3rd and 4th Land Lotteries in Georgia 1820 & 1821.

1822 
Before 1822 Pleasant purchased a portion of his father's land in the 11th Land District of Hall County in Georgia on Wahoo Creek. 

1822
Pleasant's brother William died in Hall County in 1822, and William's children resided with Pleasant for some time before they emigrated to Arkansas.

1826

Pleasant's father, James, died. A deed in 1824 sold 196 acres in Hall Co. GA for $450. Signed by James and his wife Ann, both with "X's". James Hulsey Sr. died in Hall Co. GA in 1826, son Pleasant was appointed adminstrator of his estate which inventoried at $3,771.39.

1830
Pleasant is found in the 1830 United States Federal Census in Hall County, GA. This part of Hall County became Lumpkin County in 1834 and then became Dawson County in 1857. 

Living with Pleasant and his wife are nine other people. Some are Pleasant's children but some of the children cannot possibly be his according to the ages they have listed. It has been suggested by some family historians that one of Pleasant's brothers died and Pleasant and his wife took those children into their home.

July Term Hall County Court: Ordered that the court issue process against Pleasant Hulsey adm. of estate of James Hulsey deceased. Adley Hulsey, Jr. guardian of Adeline Pulliam and John Miller, guardian of Joel Miller, orphans, they being in default of returns for the year according to law

Pleasant was living in Lumpkin County, GA, found in 1840 United States Federal Census

1850
At age 58, Pleasant is living with his son, John and wife Lourinda, in Barrett, Lumpkin County, GA. Elizabeth died in 1845.

1860
At age 68, Pleasant is living with his son Joseph and his wife, Margaret in Dawsonville, Dawson County GA

1865
Pleasant died in Lumpkin County GA.
